Tim has been in the Jewellery and Insurance industry now for over 25 years, having started his career in the Army on commissioning in 1971. Whilst still serving and despite active service commitments he was selected to represent Team GB fencing team for 12 years including the Montreal Olympic games.and asked to captain the team for the Moscow Olympic games but declined for political reasons at the personal request of the late Margaret Thatcher.
In 1982 Tim left the Army and started a career in the Diamond Industry selling diamonds to manufacturers and jewellers whilst working closely with the Insurance Industry, providing Post Loss valuations and arranging to supply bespoke replacement jewellery to UHNW customers.
Tim has huge experience and understanding of the jewellery claims process and their experience in replicating bespoke items has been widely acclaimed within the industry.
Nigel is without doubt one of the most outstanding figures to have emerged from the industry in the last decade.
With little outside assistance he has used his 25 years experience in the Jewellery and Insurance Industry to design a piece of software which has been widely recognized within the industry as “game changing“.
The system is known as Validator and will automatically calculate the value of Jewellery ONLINE. This application can be used for both Pre loss and Post Loss valuations.
Nigel brings huge experience to the PV Group having been cofounder and joint MD of Jewellery Appraisal services from 1987 to it’s sale to LMG in 2004. Nigel specializes in dealing and designing operational solutions and managing all the Jewellery Field staff operations.
Mark has provided our expert home visiting valuation service for the last 15 years. He has immense knowleadge of modern jewellery and watches. He also oversees the design and manufacture of very complex items of jewellery ranging from Diamond tiaras to sophisticated 3 colour stone set necklets, employing the skills of casters, setters, model makers, mounters and polishers to stunning effect. Mark recently scored 3rd highest ever on the GIA Diamond Grading Course.
Sue has always had a passion for jewellery. Her first appointment was with Cunningham and Lindsey Loss Adjusters where she was responsible for Jewellery Claims Management. In 1999 she joined Jewellery Appraisal Services to as Field Jeweller, providing UHNW Jewellery replacement. As well as managing manufacturing in the ubiquitous Hatton Garden, London and a GIA Diamond Grading course score of 91%, Sue is also an accomplished photographer - a skill she uses to great effect on her Jewellery Valuations for PV.
Ash comes from a third generation of Asian jewellers who has a wealth of experience in manufacturing and selling gold. After 15 years with PV, providing jewellery valuations and replacement services, Ash has always been at the forefront of manufacturing diamond and coloured stone rings for the Asian community. Having a deep and thorough understanding of all the manufacturing techniques used to make Asian jewellery combined with his knowledge of gems makes Ash a unique asset to the Prestige Group.
